Description

Performs any combination of following tasks to assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems. This role involves reading work orders, following production drawings, and receiving verbal instructions to position and align parts using various tools and equipment. Responsibilities include crimping, staking, screwing, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, and press fitting components, as well as mounting assembled parts like transformers, resistors, and integrated circuits on chassis panels. The assembler will connect component lead wires to printed circuits or route and connect wires between individual components using soldering, welding, or thermocompression bonding. The job requires the ability to work independently, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret measuring equipment, engineering drawings, and electrical schematics, along with safely operating power equipment.
