The Avionics Electrician installs, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, modifies, and supports aircraft and avionics systems, including electrical harnesses, wiring, communication, navigation, countermeasure, and flight-characteristics equipment. The role requires reading schematics and wiring diagrams, handling heavy equipment, maintaining airworthiness records, and supporting aircraft servicing and flight testing. Candidates should have knowledge of repairable and serviceable parts, precision instruments, and spare-parts management, with prior military aviation or United States government aircraft experience preferred.
