Description
The Aircraft Electrician II installs, modifies, routes, terminates, and tests electrical harnesses, cables, fiber-optic, 1553, RF, twinax, triax, quadrax, and Ethernet assemblies on C-130J aircraft. The role also removes and installs aircraft components, interprets wiring and engineering drawings, follows maintenance manuals and safety procedures, and uses hand, power, support, and calibrated test equipment. Applicants need at least four years of avionics experience in communications, navigation, guidance control, electronic warfare, or electro/environmental fields, a USAF 7-Level Craftsman qualification or equivalent, and strong drawing-interpretation skills; C-130J experience and an active Secret Security Clearance are preferred.
