Description
The Traffic Control and Electronic Systems Technician administers, installs, maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots traffic-control, radio, process-control, instrumentation, electrical, and computer systems for city departments. The role includes traffic-signal and SCADA work, preventive maintenance, equipment purchasing and inventory control, documentation, and repair of auxiliary vehicle and public-works equipment. It requires an associate's degree in electronics or a related field, three years of relevant experience, a Washington State driver's license, and several safety and traffic-signal certifications; a Journeyman Electrical License is preferred. The position involves indoor and outdoor work, confined spaces, heights, and electrical hazards.
