Description
The High School Life Skills Teacher will provide work-based learning and functional curriculum for exceptional-education students, supporting their transition from high school to post-secondary education and independent living. The role includes developing and implementing data-driven lesson plans, creating and monitoring IEPs, collecting student-progress data, adapting general curricula, supporting vocational and daily-living skills, advocating for students, and directing education assistants. A bachelor's degree and a Tennessee special-education teaching license or an equivalent licensure pathway are required; two years of teaching experience is preferred but not required.
