Description
Breakthrough Academy is hiring a non-exempt, full-time Learning Assistant to support elementary-age students in a Kansas City charter school. The role works alongside teachers to reinforce reading, math, science, and other classroom learning; supports STEM, social-emotional, digital-literacy, and hands-on activities; helps students build relationships and self-regulation; and prepares classroom materials and learning spaces. The employer seeks caring, dependable, patient, and communicative adults who enjoy working with children, and is willing to train someone without prior experience. A Para and Sub Certificate or willingness to obtain one is required, and the work takes place in classrooms, common areas, outdoor spaces, and other school settings.
