Description
The role determines eligibility for financial, medical, special assistance, and food-stamp programs by interviewing applicants, verifying and evaluating information, completing forms, computing budgets, maintaining records, responding to complaints, and making referrals. It may include home visits, agency conferences, appeals, and state hearings, and requires adherence to policy deadlines and ongoing training. The position reports to an Eligibility Supervisor I or II, requires high-school graduation or equivalency plus three years of relevant public-contact experience, and requires residence within a two-hour driving radius of Guilford County.
