Description
The County Eligibility Specialist performs intermediate administrative support and eligibility work for State and Federal public assistance, financial, emergency/crisis, and health care programs. The role includes client intakes and assessments, program applications, benefit issuance, eligibility monitoring, appeals, case management, database entry, referrals, and coordination with internal and external agencies. It requires a high school diploma or GED, three years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license or equivalent mobility, and the ability to work under limited supervision. Starting pay is $27.94 to $31.29 per hour, with higher pay possible for prior County Eligibility Specialist or related experience.
