Description
The Eligibility Specialist III is an advanced, lead-level public assistance eligibility specialist who independently performs complex eligibility determinations, interviews applicants, analyzes financial and demographic information, issues benefits, manages caseloads, provides training and lead direction to other specialists, and supports investigations, quality assurance, appeals, and referrals. The role requires either one year of full-time Eligibility Specialist II experience in an Interagency Merit System County or three years of full-time public assistance eligibility experience in a public human services agency, and applicants must pass a weighted 100% Training & Experience Examination with a minimum 70% rating. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
