Description
The entry-level Human Services Eligibility Specialist assesses applicants and clients for food assistance, Medicaid, child care, cash benefits, and other human-services programs; processes applications and ongoing casework; conducts interviews; verifies eligibility; documents case histories and referrals; and uses multiple computer and data-management systems. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of progressively responsible clerical or data-entry work, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, along with strong computer, communication, interviewing, and analytical skills. The position receives close oversight from training and supervisory teams and requires regular and predictable attendance.
