Description

The City of Chesapeake's local Social Services agency is seeking an eligibility determination professional to interview clients, assess eligibility for TANF, SNAP, Medicaid, and other financial or medical assistance programs, interpret benefit policies, process and document cases in VaCMS and related systems, make accurate and timely eligibility decisions, and connect clients with community resources. The role requires a high school diploma or GED/HSE, completion of government assistance program training, at least four years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and state-required SNAP and Medicaid training; experience with Virginia Department of Social Services programs and systems such as SPIDeR, VaCMS, DMIS, or MMIS is preferred.
