Description
Saltwater Inc. is hiring a full-time Electronic Monitoring (EM) Technician to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic monitoring systems on commercial fishing vessels. The role combines remote support by phone and email with field service and extensive travel to remote ports throughout the United States and Alaska, with a preference for East Coast coverage. The technician will work with IP cameras, onboard computers, sensors, configuration files, and EM software, document all technical support activities, and review portions of the monitoring data. A relevant natural science or computer science degree or at least four years of relevant experience, technical and mechanical aptitude, computer proficiency, data documentation skills, communication skills, and physical ability to climb ladders and work in tight spaces are required.
