Description
The Embalmer Program Faculty Member delivers quality instruction and coordinates the Embalmer program under the Dean of Business and Public Services. Responsibilities include teaching and grading, developing course materials, scheduling classes and labs, advising students, managing the program budget, coordinating events, and supporting recruitment and placement activities. The role requires a South Carolina Funeral Director/Embalmer license or reciprocal license, a Mortuary Science license or related-field license, graduation from an American Board of Funeral Services Education program, knowledge of embalming and higher-education instruction, and a valid driver’s license. Evening and weekend teaching may be required, and additional hours may be needed during peak registration.
