Description
Apple is hiring a Wireless Embedded Physical Layer Data Path Signal Processing Firmware Engineer to develop embedded 4G/5G/6G cellular firmware for silicon design. The role implements physical-layer algorithms on digital or vector signal processors, interfaces with specialized cellular ASIC hardware, and develops firmware architectures, fixed-point implementations, emulation and virtual-platform verification, build and formal verification tools, and standard processes. Candidates need a bachelor's degree, experience with digital signal processing or wireless physical-layer channels on special-purpose hardware, strong software and computer science fundamentals, C and C++ proficiency, silicon prototyping experience, and computer architecture knowledge; 3GPP, digital communications, RTOS, concurrent programming, machine learning, and generative AI are preferred.
