DTE is hiring a full-time, permanent Embedded Controls Software Engineer to lead the software and controls architecture for industrial measurement and sampling systems. The role involves designing reusable embedded software, writing and validating real-time control code, developing safety functions to EN ISO 13849 or SIL standards, integrating with industrial plant systems, supporting commissioning and troubleshooting, and improving engineering standards through code review and testing. Candidates need at least three years of C/C++ or PLC control-system experience, strong embedded software skills, and comfort working in harsh industrial environments near molten metal.
