Synopsys is hiring a Functional Safety Engineer to lead ISO 26262 compliance for embedded software and IP projects in automotive and safety-critical applications. The role covers hazard analysis, risk assessment, safety goals and ASIL determination, safety requirements decomposition, FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, safety cases, certification reviews, and traceability across R&D, verification, and systems engineering teams. Candidates need a BSc or MSc in a relevant technical discipline, at least five years of functional safety or safety-critical software experience, expertise in ISO 26262 parts 4, 6, and 8, and proficiency with C, RTOS, and safety-relevant architecture patterns.
