The Embedded Linux Kernel Engineer researches, designs, and implements Linux kernel changes for next-generation EC2 compute platforms, brings up Linux on new hardware and custom silicon, debugs system-level issues, profiles and optimizes performance, develops qualification and deployment tooling, and supports production environments. The role requires at least three years of professional software development experience and two years of design or architecture experience, with preferred full software development life cycle and computer science education experience. The position is based in Santa Clara, California, or Seattle, Washington, with annual base salaries of $165,200–$223,600 USD in Santa Clara and $143,700–$194,400 USD in Seattle.
