Description
Amazon is hiring an Embedded Software Development Manager to lead the team building and scaling VirtSat, a virtual satellite simulation platform. The role owns the Graviton bare-metal virtualization layer, including KVM/QEMU VM management, subsystem provisioning, health monitoring, fault recovery, AMI pipelines, provisioning scripts, and software deployment. The manager will partner with client teams, drive platform reliability and scale, hire and develop embedded engineers, and define technical roadmaps for satellite simulation fidelity and HITL reduction. The position is based in Redmond, Washington, and requires at least five years of people-management experience plus relevant embedded, Linux, virtualization, distributed-systems, and infrastructure-as-code experience.
