Amazon Leo is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to architect and develop secure, mission-critical firmware for satellite systems. The role covers ASIC firmware, RF communication control, command systems, telemetry, power control, hardware interfaces, autonomous capabilities, Linux and RTOS software, security architecture, threat modeling, secure bring-up, verification, and production testing. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field, debugging and multi-level verification experience, and U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or refugee/asylum status; a master's degree, formal verification, ARM and DSP experience, RF standards knowledge, and automation scripting are preferred. The position is based in San Diego, California, or Redmond, Washington, with a base salary of 153,600 to 215,000 USD annually.
