Coherent Aerospace & Defense is hiring an embedded software engineer in its Emerging Laser Subsystems Business Unit to design, develop, document, integrate, and test embedded software for advanced laser systems used in defense applications. The role works cross-functionally with systems, optical, electrical, and FPGA engineers; supports projects from board bring-up through final system testing; and may lead software engineering tasks. Candidates need substantial embedded software experience, C/C++, RTOS or embedded Linux expertise, processor and hardware-interface knowledge, and typically 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
