Coherent Aerospace & Defense is hiring an embedded software engineer in its Emerging Laser Subsystems Business Unit to develop and test embedded software for advanced laser systems used in defense applications. The role involves software architecture, requirements and design documentation, embedded development in C/C++, RTOS or embedded Linux, board bring-up, system integration, debugging, and collaboration with systems, optical, electrical, and FPGA engineers. It typically requires 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 5 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD, and may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
