ORBCOMM is hiring a full-time Embedded Software Developer to work onsite in Ottawa and support the development, testing, troubleshooting, and enhancement of embedded software for its Smart Tracking products. The role involves Lua programming, terminal and command-line application development, automated regression testing, defect resolution, code reviews, and collaboration with software, test, and product teams. Candidates should have 3–5 years of software development experience, embedded software knowledge, Linux or similar development environment experience, and familiarity with software testing; Lua, terminal applications, regression testing, and IoT or connected-device experience are preferred. The anticipated starting salary is $85,000–$95,000 CAD.
