Description

Scalian is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain real-time embedded software in C++ for VxWorks or similar RTOS environments, including safety-critical functions, hardware/software integration, debugging, performance optimization, and unit and functional testing. The role also involves Agile and DevOps activities, version control, CI/CD pipelines, and Python-based tools. Candidates need at least two years of embedded systems experience, knowledge of IEC 61508 and real-time requirements, strong C++ and Python skills, and fluent Italian and English.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: At least 2 years of experience developing embedded systems on real-time platforms with VxWorks or similar RTOSs.
Experience developing and maintaining software for embedded systems with real-time requirements.
Experience with task management, semaphores, mutexes, and synchronization mechanisms, preferably in VxWorks.
Experience writing and executing unit and functional tests in embedded environments.
Preferred Qualifications: General knowledge of VxWorks or a similar real-time operating system.
Knowledge of Python 3 for prototyping and infrastructure management.
Competence in response-time analysis and determinism for real-time requirements.
Proficiency with version control systems.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies, embedded DevOps practices, and continuous integration.
