Description
CesiumAstro is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer II to develop and port embedded Linux applications, device drivers, and libraries; configure and customize Linux kernels and bootloaders; maintain Yocto-based build systems in CI/CD pipelines; package software images; create tailored Linux distributions; and collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers. The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field, at least two years of embedded software experience, C or C++ proficiency, and familiarity with embedded hardware, multi-threaded programming, and version control. Preferred experience includes Embedded Linux, Yocto, Xilinx SoCs, bootloaders, kernel development, system bring-up, and CI/CD practices.
