Hitachi Energy is hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop and improve user-space applications for real-time Linux systems used in intelligent electronic devices for substation automation. The role involves Yocto distribution customization, Ethernet communication and redundancy protocols, application development and optimization, automated testing, and collaboration with software, hardware, cybersecurity, and QA teams. It is an on-site position in Västerås and requires a relevant master's degree, embedded software and real-time Linux experience, and Yocto Project expertise.
