ALTEN is hiring an Embedded Software Lead in Portsmouth to lead the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of embedded, real-time, and backend software for sensor-driven systems. The role combines C++ development with Qt/QML user interfaces, sensor data processing and fusion, performance optimisation, and technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams. Candidates need a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical military experience, mandatory Qt/QML development experience, and willingness to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
