Description
Under the direction of the Embryology Lab Supervisor, the embryologist coordinates and participates in IVF clinical laboratory activities including egg retrievals, embryo transfers, fertilization, ICSI, assisted hatching, sperm preparation, embryo culturing, evaluation and monitoring, and cryopreservation/cryostorage of embryos, eggs, and sperm. The role also involves consulting with clinicians, collaborating with IVF center and satellite facility staff, maintaining quality, compliance, and lab standards under CAP, CLIA, NCQA, Title 22, FDA, and SART requirements, and contributing to lab safety, security, hazardous waste, chemical hygiene, and technical documentation.
