The Emergency Department Technician provides direct patient care and clerical support in the Emergency Department under the supervision of nurse supervisors and registered nurses. Responsibilities include patient registration, order entry, admitting support, vital signs, EKGs, bandaging, oxygen setup, glucose testing, phlebotomy, room readiness, patient transport, chart maintenance, and emergency department upkeep. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with previous medical background or EMS training and BLS training preferred. It is a full-time night shift position in Rhinebeck, New York, with an hourly salary range of $18.13 to $34.50.
