Description
Cal Poly is hiring an emergency full-time Plumber for its San Luis Obispo campus. The role maintains, troubleshoots, tests, and repairs plumbing systems, including backflow prevention devices; installs and repairs pumps, pipes, fittings, valves, and fixtures; cuts, threads, and welds pipes; estimates project costs, time, and materials; and maintains the plumbing shop and tools. Applicants need progressively responsible training and experience equivalent to journey-level skills from a standard plumber’s apprenticeship program. The anticipated hiring range is $34.60–$38.20 per hour, with a broader classification range of $34.60–$50.41 per hour. The position is on-site and requires a background check; Cal Poly does not sponsor visas for staff or management positions.
