Waymo is hiring a hybrid Emergency Response Manager to own the operational control, training, standard operating procedures, and growth of its Emergency Response Team. The role manages global on-call and escalation programs, integrates emergency protocols with business continuity plans, develops site-specific emergency action plans, coordinates public safety and disaster response, and optimizes paging, handoff, and crisis-throttling tools. It requires 8+ years of operations or emergency-planning experience, 3+ years managing global on-call or emergency-response programs, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, and experience in a technology, ride-sharing, autonomous-vehicle, or large logistics environment. The position may travel up to 25% to emergency response sites and occasionally to Waymo headquarters in Mountain View, California, with a base salary of $159,000–$196,000 USD.
