Description
The Emergency Medical Dispatch Support Officer (Pool) is a casual, part-time role supporting people calling 000 for an ambulance. The officer answers emergency calls, assesses patient needs, provides guidance, and helps determine the most appropriate care pathway. The role includes full-time paid training for approximately 22 weeks, followed by transition to casual employment, and offers a nationally recognised Certificate III in Ambulance Communications. Applicants must be able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, communicate clearly and empathetically, work under pressure, and pass criminal and working-with-children checks; a current HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate is required or must be obtained. The advertised salary is $75,456.00 pro-rata for EOC 1.1 and $77,720.00 per year for EOC 1.2, with a casual rate of $37.88 per hour plus 25% casual loading.
