Description
Provide appropriate, efficient and timely pre-hospital basic life support care and transportation of sick and injured patients in accordance with local, state, national, and Acadian Ambulance standards. The role involves examining patients, administering BLS care, safe ambulance transport, documenting patient condition and treatment, maintaining inventory and equipment, operating the ambulance safely, following communications regulations, performing station duties, and precepting new EMT-Basic employees or students when approved.
