Description
Provide basic life support care and ambulance transportation for sick and injured patients in accordance with Acadian Ambulance and applicable local, state, national, and FCC standards. The EMT-Basic conducts patient assessments, administers BLS within licensure, documents care, maintains ambulance readiness and equipment, drives the ambulance safely, supports extrication and scene safety when needed, and may precept new EMTs or students. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, EMT-Basic certification, current CPR certification, and a valid state driver's license.
