The EMS Lieutenant provides day-to-day oversight of BLS EMS operations, including call-outs, scheduling, shift coverage, performance monitoring, incident response, and coordination with EMS personnel, hospitals, management, and external agencies. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalency, at least three years of EMS experience, current New Jersey EMT certification or higher, AHA CPR (BLS) certification, a valid New Jersey driver’s license, and completion of ICS 100, 200, 300, and 700 within one year of appointment.
