Description
The Emergency Medical Technician- Basic (EMT-B) provides one-on-one monitoring, de-escalation, therapeutic interaction, patient care, and transportation for individuals with behavioral health needs, developmental disabilities, and other mental illnesses in inpatient and emergency settings. The role also includes protective interventions, patient transport, equipment and vehicle readiness, documentation, communication, and transport billing. Candidates must hold current Texas EMT-Basic certification or licensure, have at least two years of related experience, and maintain CPR, pediatric, and advanced cardiac life support certifications.
