Description
The Emergency Medical Technician provides prehospital care and transport to patients of all ages, including trauma assessments, airway management, oxygenation, defibrillation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, immobilization, splinting, and basic life support. The role also includes field triage, incident command in mass-casualty situations, patient documentation, shift reporting, vehicle checks, and coordination with adjacent emergency services. A high school diploma or equivalent, New Jersey EMT certification, current Basic Life Support certification, and a valid New Jersey driver’s license are required; PHTLS and PEEP certifications are preferred.
