Description
The Emergency Medical Technician Instructor assesses, develops, updates, and delivers the Initial EMT Basic course, CORE, and elective continuing education for EMTs. The role prepares lesson plans, uses assessment tools, communicates with internal and external stakeholders, and may serve as a preceptor, support quality improvement and quality assurance, and address BLS clinical topics. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, current EMT and instructor certifications, five years of BLS experience in a 9-1-1 system, and one to two years of teaching experience; it reports to the EMS BLS Assistant Clinical Supervisor.
