Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is hiring one Encounter Data Specialist in Okemos, Michigan, in a hybrid role. The position supports accurate and compliant encounter data operations by researching and correcting rejected records, auditing submissions, developing data-quality policies, monitoring EDI and X12 exchanges, supporting customer implementations and audits, and analyzing error trends to improve data integrity and submission outcomes. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field and five years of experience identifying, analyzing, or resolving business, system, or process issues in health plan benefits administration; encounter data processing, Medicare and/or Medicaid administration, EDI, SQL, database applications, analytical reporting tools, and Microsoft Office are required or preferred.
