Description
The Endoscopy Technician provides direct patient care and assists gastroenterologists during endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include endoscope disinfection and equipment maintenance, patient preparation, medication administration, consent and specimen handling, documentation, scheduling, telephone management, and departmental workflow support. The role is a per diem/PRN position with variable shifts, requires an H.S. diploma or equivalent, one year of related medical assistant experience, AHA BLS Healthcare certification, and completion of ASGE Endoscopy Technician training within 90 days of hire. The stated hourly pay range is $28.740 to $40.240.
