Description
Danbury Hospital is hiring an Endoscopy Technician in its Gastroenterology department in New Milford, Connecticut. Under the supervision of the Endoscopy Nurse Manager and charge nurse, the technician provides patient care during gastrointestinal and bronchoscopic procedures, assists physicians with endoscopic procedures, prepares and maintains sterile rooms and instrument tables, processes specimens, cleans and disinfects endoscopes, monitors sterilization and equipment, manages supplies, supports conscious sedation monitoring, and trains new staff. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, infection-control knowledge, School of Surgical Technology and special-procedure and/or endoscopy experience, at least one year of experience, and CET and CPR credentials.
