Description
Danbury Hospital is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to support gastrointestinal and pulmonary procedures for inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of patient care leadership. The role prepares procedure rooms and equipment, assists physicians during endoscopic procedures, maintains sterile and clean techniques, processes specimens, cleans and high-level disinfects endoscopes, monitors sterilization and quality assurance, supports conscious sedation monitoring, maintains supplies and equipment, and trains new employees. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, infection-control knowledge, and at least one year of PCT or related experience; endoscopy experience is preferred.
