Description

Datacom is seeking an experienced Endpoint Engineering Architect to join their team. This role involves designing and maintaining robust desktop Standard Operating Environments (SOEs) for clients, focusing on cloud-first productivity and collaboration solutions. The architect will collaborate with customers during their digital transformation journey, providing expert advice, developing processes, and driving continuous improvement. The position requires a strong understanding of various endpoint management solutions, Microsoft Windows configurations, infrastructure services, and public cloud technologies.

Required Skills

Enterprise endpoint management solutions (SCCM, Intune and JAMF)
Microsoft Windows end user operating systems configuration and deployment
core Microsoft Supporting Infrastructure services (AD, Group Policy and users and computers)
Experience with AvePoint baseline
good understanding of core Microsoft Supporting Infrastructure services (DHCP, DNS, PKI, Print Services, File Services, Exchange, SharePoint)
Microsoft Windows end user operating systems configuration & deployment (in both traditional and modern management approaches).
Endpoint security technologies (such as Microsoft’s Defender for Endpoint, Symantec, CrowdStrike)
VDI and DaaS solutions including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Amazon Workspaces, Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365.
Public cloud exposure such as Azure and AWS as well as background in traditional on-premises hosting technologies (vCenter and/or Hyper-V) and supporting hybrid cloud technologies.

Additional Information

Required Previous Experiences: 8 years of IT industry experience
experience in an Endpoint Architect role
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of hardware and software vendor support processes, including product lifecycle
Advanced End User Management experience
Knowledge of modern and traditional SOE management methodologies
Good financial management practices
Analytical and problem solving skills, as well as good judgement
Adherence to budget, schedule, work plans, and performance requirements
Proven communication and negotiation skills
Effective presentation, consultative and planning skills
