Description
The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is hiring two Associate Air Pollution Inspector II positions for the Air & Noise Enforcement Unit. The inspectors will conduct, plan, and oversee citywide inspections of air and noise pollution sources, investigate complaints, prepare progress reports, provide training, and supervise and evaluate a team of Air Pollution Inspectors. The positions are based at the Lefrak Building in Queens or the Greenpoint Avenue building in Brooklyn and require willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and other schedules as needed. Candidates must meet one of two qualification paths involving education and experience in air-emitting or noise-emitting equipment, with at least one year of supervisory experience.
