Description

The Electrical Engineer II will contribute to electrical sustaining engineering by supporting requirement analysis, detailed design, verification, design reviews, documentation, and quality or compliance actions for assigned products, projects, or solutions. The role requires hands-on electrical and embedded-systems design, experience with schematic entry and PCB layout tools, microcontroller and communication-interface experience, and preferably medical-device or regulated-product experience.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic engineering
Required Previous Experiences: 4-7 years of experience in design, development, and testing of complex electrical or electronic components, subsystems, or products
Electromechanical hardware development experience, preferably in medical devices or other highly regulated products
Hands-on experience with analog and digital circuit and embedded systems design
Experience with embedded platforms, 8-, 16-, and 32-bit microcontrollers, and Arm Cortex-M processors
Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART interfaces
Experience with schematic entry and PCB layout design tools
Experience with PSpice, OrCAD, Mentor’s DxDesigner, and Expedition
Preferred Qualifications: Medical device or other highly regulated product experience
Medical device, FDA, or other regulatory experience
Knowledge of UL/IEC 60601-1, ISO13485, and CE/UL certification
Design QA, DFx, and DFMEA knowledge
Experience designing circuits involving batteries, blowers, compressors, motor control, or solenoid control
