Description
Kitsap County is hiring an Engineer 1 for its Department of Community Development to review residential, commercial, and land development applications; evaluate engineering plans, stormwater and hydraulic analyses, grading, roadway, utility, ADA, erosion-control, and traffic-mitigation proposals; coordinate engineering reviews and site development activity permits; and provide technical guidance to developers, contractors, consultants, and the public. The role requires an Engineer-in-Training registration or a qualifying bachelor's degree, or four years of qualifying engineering experience under a licensed Professional Engineer, along with civil engineering, permitting, GIS, and hydraulic-modeling knowledge. The position is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexible hours available, and is classified as eligible for overtime.
