Description
Kitsap County is hiring an Engineer 2 to lead civil engineering reviews, approvals, inspections, permit closeout, regulatory compliance, and complex development and infrastructure issues. The role mentors inspectors, technicians, and entry-level engineers; advises developers and the public; and collaborates with public works, governmental agencies, utilities, and other partners. Candidates must be licensed as a Professional Engineer or qualify through EIT certification and four years of qualifying experience, with progressive civil engineering experience and strong communication and stakeholder-management skills. The position is exempt from overtime, non-represented, and scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexible hours subject to management approval.
