Description
The Substation Physical Engineer provides physical engineering, technical support, and supervision for a transmission substation engineering and design team. The role leads discipline work, performs responsible-charge engineering, manages project schedules and budgets, supports proposals and cost estimating, and collaborates with design disciplines, contractors, suppliers, and clients. Responsibilities include substation design, grounding studies, equipment specifications, design reviews, site visits, and mentoring junior staff. The position requires at least 8 years of practicing engineering experience, an accredited engineering degree or approved non-ABET credentials, and a Licensed Professional Engineer designation.
