Amazon Japan is hiring an Engineer for its Operations Technology Development organization to lead facility specification standardization for logistics facilities across Japan. The role combines architecture, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection expertise with lifecycle-cost and decarbonization analysis, global technology evaluation, and verification of new construction methods. Responsibilities include creating and revising design standards, sharing best practices with overseas stakeholders, and validating technologies for cost, safety, quality, and environmental performance. The position is based at the Tokyo Office and requires at least five years of relevant design or design-supervision experience, an Architect’s License (First Class), a Construction Management Engineer (First Class), or equivalent specialized knowledge, along with Japanese and English business proficiency.
