Description

Scout Motors is hiring a full-time Powertrain/Drive Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, calibrate, and validate powertrain and drive-system functions for electric and electrified pickup trucks and SUVs. The role coordinates with internal teams and software suppliers, manages function bring-up and release readiness, develops test cases, and supports prototype and vehicle testing. It is based in Novi, Michigan, with 4–5 days per week in the office and occasional travel.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field
Required Previous Experiences: 4+ years of experience in powertrain or drive system development, calibration, and validation within concept or serial vehicle programs, preferably for electric or electrified vehicles (BEV / EREV)
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with function and integration coordination
Experience developing functions across the V-model
Experience developing, integrating, and validating drive system functions
Practical experience with calibration and validation on testbenches and vehicles
Familiarity with ETAS INCA, MATLAB/Simulink, and data analysis environments
Ability to read Simulink models and C-based source code
Experience working with cross-functional teams and suppliers
