Description
The Broadcast IT Engineer provides information technology support for a television station and assists with installing and setting up digital broadcast systems. The role administers Active Directory, servers, workstations, VPNs, wireless access points, domain controllers, antivirus systems, broadcast playout and content-storage systems, and other broadcast and technology equipment. Responsibilities include user support, infrastructure implementation, equipment evaluation and maintenance, compliance with FCC and other regulations, and mentoring others. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent education and experience, strong networking and IT skills, three years of broadcast engineering experience, and experience with remote desktop applications, VPNs, and Adobe editing systems.
